Who is Party Face Painting?
We are a group of professional face painters from Clackmannanshire offering a high standard of face painting, glitter faces, festival faces, and glitter tattoos for both children and adults. We aim to provide a safe and enjoyable activity for children at any event. We love what we do.
Do you hold public liability insurance?
Yes. We hold indemnity insurance coverage for £5,000,000 for Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos and we are happy to provide a copy upon request.
Do you have a disclosure or CRB certificate?
A self-employed face painter cannot apply for a disclosure certificate. It is intended for a third-party/employer to assess an employees suitability for a job. Some of our face painters do have a certificate due to their current employment but generally face painters are unlikely to be left alone with children. Typically, we are with any one child for less than 5 minutes and usually in the presence of their parent or carer.
What areas do you cover?
Our Face painters are based in Alloa and cover all of Clackmannanshire including Tullibody, Cambus, Menstrie, Alva, Tillicoultry, Dollar, Fishcross, Sauchie, Clackmannan and Kincardine. Our Face Painters also travel to Stirling, St Ninians, Cambusbarron, Bridge of Allan, Dunblane, Bannockburn, Cowie, Plean, and Falkirk areas. Bonnybridge, Polmont, Westquarter, Larbert, Stenhousemuir. Please contact us to find out if we cover your location. If not, we may be able to recommend a suitable face painter that can.

Our costs are based on location, duration, guest numbers, and the services required. Prices start from £50 and there is a 10% booking fee required to secure any artists/dates. The balance can be paid the week before your event, or cash on arrival.
How do I pay?
We accept PayPal or Bank Transfer via our unique payment link. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cheques.
Can you paint for free for charity?
The expenses involved in professional face painting might surprise you. The products, insurance, travel, training courses, practice costs and cleaning costs are substantial. For that reason, we are not able to paint for free at any event. However, we would be delighted to discuss how we can help raise money for your charity or fundraising events.
Is the paint safe for children?
We reserve the right not to paint any person and cannot paint children under 3 years old. Some children can be nervous about having their faces touched (especially around the eye area), or sometimes can be too wriggly to sit through a painting. However, we can offer them an arm painting or a glitter tattoo instead. Many younger kids prefer this as they can see their design afterwards.
Are Face Paints suitable for sensitive skin?
We only use good quality professional products which are specially formulated to be friendly to the most delicate skin, they are non-toxic and fragrance-free. All our face paints are EU approved and include antibacterial properties. The glitters we use are specifically for cosmetic use.
However, If a child has sensitive skin or any skin conditions that may be aggravated by cosmetics we do not recommend they be painted. If you have any concerns we can try a small test area on the inside of the arm.
Although it is extremely rare, we cannot be held responsible for any allergic reaction if the parent/guardian has given their permission.
How many faces can you paint in one hour?
We can paint an average of 12 faces in an hour depending upon the complexity of the designs chosen. Usually, for younger children, we have a basic selection of designs that are quick and easy to do which will save them having to sit still for too long.
How do I remove face paint?
We recommend face paints are removed after 2 – 3 hours, ideally in a bath or shower with a facecloth and soap or baby shampoo (no more tears). Using lotions or baby wipes may react with some ingredients in the paints and make them harder to remove or may cause discomfort. There is no set time limit for wearing face paints but we don’t recommend children wear any face paint to bed.
How clean is the equipment?
Brushes are washed using specially formulated brush soap and sponges are washed in a washing machine at 40degrees using non-bio washing powder. This is done following the end of each painting session. All equipment is dried thoroughly stored safely and replaced regularly.
Additional cleaning and sanitation procedures are now in place between painting children to protect and prevent the spread of Covid-19. If you have any concerns or would like to know more click here or please get in touch
