Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy For Party Face Painting

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As a mobile children’s entertainment supplier we are particularly committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our little customers.

We have missed being able to offer Face Painting to the children and adults that love it.  Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening, we have implemented a number of changes which we would like to make you aware of. During the time we were closed we have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. We have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit.

Bookings/Cancellations

If any of our artists feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately. We will attempt to provide another artist however if this is not possible it may mean that we have to cancel your booking at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your booking is canceled, you will be able to re-book again for another date or ask for a full refund.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and please DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN WITH SYMPTOMS TO HAVE THEIR FACE PAINTED. We have amended our booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for cancellations

Assessment

We have carried out a risk assessment and we are confident that we can continue to provide Face Painting safely.

On the Day

For safety and to maintain social distancing, We ask that you encourage children to remain 2m away from the face painter whilst in a queue or waiting for their turn.

Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single-use items during face painting that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect children from cross-infection.

All other tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.

We have increased the frequency of cleaning water and brushes between each child.

We use one sponge per child.

We will provide hand sanitiser for children wishing to wash their hands before and after having their faces painted

We understand and will not be offended if anyone wishes to wear a face mask or wear disposable gloves when having their face painted.

Please don’t be surprised or upset if our artists use personal protective equipment (PPE) during your event. This may include disposable gloves /visors/facemasks/aprons where appropriate.

All disposable items are bagged and removed from our workspace between each client

During Face Painting

Our artists understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that we sanitise our hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before painting any child.

We will try to make face painting as safe, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns, please let us know and we will do what we can to satisfy you.

After the event

We can confirm that the laundering of sponges and uniforms is a priority, we can assure you that all laundry is washed at 60 degrees C and dried thoroughly

In order to avoid handling of cash, we would prefer if you could pay by a card or in advance using bank transfers / Paypal.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and that of our artists. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practices and will amend them as necessary.

Thank you for your understanding.
